Fingerprint Keychains
In this activity, we will create personalized keychains using the fingerprints of children and small ink pads.
An original and inexpensive gift to offer for Mother's Day or Father's Day!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
For this activity, you will need:
- a plastic keychain with an insert (heart, square, or T-shirt)
- a sheet of white paper
- colored ink pads
- a pencil
- fine-tip markers
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Remove the lid from the selected key holder and then trace its outline on a blank sheet of paper.
Step 2
Cut along the line to create the paper insert to slide into the keychain.
Step 3
Press the child's index finger on the ink pad of your chosen color.
Step 4
Apply the index twice on the cut-out paper shape to form a heart.
Step 5
Write a first name with a fine-tipped marker.
Step 6
Place the paper insert into the keychain holder and then clip the transparent lid.
