How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a lovely heart trophy you will need:
- a polystyrene heart (9 cm)
- a wooden base and its rod
- acrylic paint and a paintbrush
- rubber alphabet stickers
- plastic pins
- feathers
- strip rhinestones
- a wooden skewer
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Paint the polystyrene heart with red acrylic paint or any other color of your choice.
Let it dry for about an hour.
Tip: Insert the heart on a skewer to paint without getting your fingers dirty.
Step 2
Write the words "I love you" in the center of the heart using the foam alphabet stickers.
Step 3
Insert colored plastic pins into the polystyrene following the shape of the heart.
Step 4
Make holes spaced about 2 to 3 cm apart on the "side" of the heart using a wooden skewer.
Step 5
Cut the base of the feathers and then push them into the holes on the side of the heart.
Step 6
Cut 2 strips of rhinestones measuring 16 cm and glue them around the wooden base for a pretty colored finish.
Step 7
Insert the wooden stem into the heart, adjust the length of the stem using a pair of scissors, and then place the whole assembly into the wooden base to finalize the trophy for Mother's Day.
