This technique doesn’t require a brush. Simply pour the paint into a basin of water, where it will float on the surface. Then dip the bauble into the water and pull it out to reveal beautiful marbled patterns. It’s as easy as pie ! How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a Christmas ornament you need:
- a white plastic ball
- marbling effect paint
- a satin bow
- an adhesive dot
- a wooden stick
- a basin or bucket of water
Step 1:
Fill a bucket or basin with water.
Step 2:
Shake the bottles, then add small drops of the first marbling paint color (starting with the darkest).
Step 3:
Then multiply the colors (from the darkest to the lightest).
Step 4:
To achieve a beautiful marbled effect, take a wooden stick and gently mix the colors.
Step 5:
Insert a skewer into the small hole at the top of the plastic ball.
Then gently dip the ball into the paint using the skewer.
Step 6:
Once the support is fully submerged, excess paint will remain on the surface. Simply push this excess paint away by blowing on the surface of the water.
Step 7:
The marbled effect becomes clearly visible as it comes out of the water.
Then let the ball dry for about 1 hour.
Step 8:
And finally, stick a colored satin bow with an adhesive dot.
Step 9:
Vary the paint colors to create many colored Christmas balls!
