How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a reindeer hanging decoration, you will need:
- 2 wooden logs for hanging (Ø 7 cm)
- brown paint and a brush
- buttons
- 2 googly eyes Ø 18 mm
- rhinestone stickers
- a black marker
- a mega caterpillar
- twigs
- a glue gun
Step 1
Paint a wooden log brown while leaving a "half-circle" unpainted at the bottom to create the head of the Christmas reindeer.
Important: make sure to position the hole of the log facing up (this will be used to hang your creation on the tree).
Step 2
Glue a red button onto the painted log to create the reindeer's nose, then complete by adding two googly eyes.
Glue 3 colored buttons onto the second log.
Alternative to the glue gun: these small accessories can be easily glued by children using adhesive dots!
Step 3
Finish the reindeer's head by drawing a smile with a black marker and sticking small rhinestone stickers under the eyes.
Step 4
Glue the two logs together using a glue gun to assemble the two parts of the reindeer.
Create the reindeer's antlers by gluing small twigs onto the log.
Step 5
Wrap a colorful mega caterpillar between the two logs to create a scarf for the reindeer.
Step 6
Attach a golden cord (supplied with the logs) to hang the reindeer on the Christmas tree.
