Paper Polar Bear

For this activity you will need:

- sturdy white cardstock (A4 - 300 g/m²)

- solid gouache sticks

- self-adhesive mirror effect stars

- a black marker

- a pair of scissors

- adhesive gel dots

Optional (very practical accessories):

- a rotary cutter

- a cutting mat

Use the light blue, dark blue, and purple solid gouache sticks to color a strong white card and create a beautiful night sky. 

If you are not yet familiar with solid gouache sticks, you will love them! They provide a very covering paint effect without getting your fingers dirty and with almost instant drying. An ideal product for young children.

Cut out the following shapes from a thick white card:

- a circle Ø 13 cm for the bear's head

- 2 circles Ø 8 cm for the ears

- a "flattened semicircle" for the bear's body

To cut perfect circles easily, you can use a rotary cutter with a cutting mat to protect your work surface!

Color the inside of the ears with a black marker (or with the black gouache stick) while leaving a white outline of about 1.5 cm, then draw the face of the bear.

Glue the bear's ears with adhesive gel pads.

Glue the body and the head of the bear onto the colored background using gel adhesive dots

The adhesive dots will create a slight 3D effect!

Stick mirror effect star stickers to create a beautiful starry night sky.

Remove the protective film from the stars to reveal the shiny surface of the mirrors.
