Today, we present a craft activity themed around winter that will entertain the children!
By adding a few small accessories, we will transform two little Styrofoam balls into a very funny penguin.
An easy creative project to keep the children occupied.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a penguin, you will need:
- Two Styrofoam balls Ø 5 cm
- Funny eyes to stick
- A beak and legs to stick
- Ribbon
- A strong black card
- Black paint and a brush
- Wooden skewers
- A hot glue gun
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
To begin, paint the two polystyrene balls with black paint.
- For the body, leave a white circle to form its belly.
- For the head, leave a white "heart" to form its face.
Let it dry for 20 minutes.
Tip: Stick the balls on wooden skewers to paint without getting your fingers dirty!
Step 2:
Insert a beak and legs into the styrofoam balls.
Step 3:
Using a glue gun, stick the head and body of the penguin.
Step 4:
Next, plant funny eyes just above the beak.
Step 5:
Cut out two shapes of about 5 cm from strong black cardstock for the wings.
Step 6:
Then glue them with the hot glue gun like this.
Step 7:
Wrap a piece of ribbon around the penguin's neck twice, then make a small knot to give it the shape of a scarf.
Step 8:
For a better effect, use a glue gun to stick the ends of the scarf onto the Styrofoam ball.
