In this Halloween-themed activity for kids, we will create a beautiful pumpkin using drawing gum.
To make each creation unique, young artists can draw lovely designs with a drawing gum marker, replacing traditional coloring with repetitive patterns inspired by Doodle art. Also known as masking liquid, this technique will reveal white patterns on the paper once the ink is applied !
This method promotes the development of dexterity, provides relaxation, and helps improve concentration. This DIY, which is both simple and accessible, is an excellent way to stimulate children's creativity and focus.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a pumpkin, you will need:
- a "pumpkin" template to print
- a strong black card (A4 - 300 g/m²)
- a drawing gum marker
- orange and green drawing ink
- a paintbrush
- glue
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
Print our template by clicking here.
Draw patterns on the pumpkin using a drawing gum marker.
Then let the masking gum dry for a few minutes.
Step 2:
Cover the pumpkin with orange and green drawing ink.
As you can see, the ink does not cover the areas decorated with the drawing gum marker.
Step 3:
Once the ink is dry, rub the designs made with drawing gum with your finger to remove the thin layer of gum.
Step 4:
Next, cut out the pumpkin shape with a pair of scissors.
Step 5:
Glue the pumpkin to the center of a thick black piece of paper using stick glue.
Step 6:
Finally, glue star rhinestones all around the pumpkin.
