How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a pumpkin witch you will need:
- a 20 cm polystyrene cone
- a polystyrene pumpkin
- a 3D bow tie sticker
- gold and silver star stickers
- plastic buttons
- 2 googly eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- a black cardstock
- a black marker
- acrylic paint (black and orange) + a brush
- a glue gun
- a circular cutter or a pair of scissors
- a cutter
- a cutting mat
- a skewer
Step 1:
To begin, paint a polystyrene pumpkin with orange paint and a polystyrene cone with black paint.
Then let it dry for 20 minutes.
TIP: plant the pumpkin and the cone on a wooden skewer so you can paint them and let them dry without getting your fingers dirty!
Step 2:
Place a cutting board under the sheet to avoid damaging the table, then cut a circle with a diameter of 8.5 cm from a black sheet of paper using a circular cutter.
Tip: You can also trace a circle using a mug and cut it out with a simple pair of scissors.
Step 3:
Step reserved for adults:
Once the paint is dry, cut the cone with a cutter at 11 cm starting from the base.
Step 4:
Using a glue gun, glue:
1. the pumpkin to the bottom part of the cone
2. the black cardstock circle onto the pumpkin
3. the top part of the cone onto the black cardstock circle
Step 5:
Glue 2 moving eyes Ø 2.5 cm onto the pumpkin.
Step 6 :
Draw a nose and a mouth with a black marker.
Step 7:
Stick a bow tie sticker on the cone.
Step 8:
Glue on some plastic buttons to create a nice outfit.
Step 9:
Stick star stickers onto the hat.
Step 10:
Cut a black caterpillar into two pieces and then insert them into the polystyrene cone to create the witch's arms.
