A funny spider for a sweet Halloween!
Here is a craft activity that will appeal to little creators in search of thrills… but not too many! Using a simple styrofoam disc, children will create an adorable Halloween spider by painting the body, adding black caterpillar legs, and sticking on two big funny eyes. A little fancy bow, some shiny stickers on the wooden base, and here is a spider that brings more smiles than scares!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a cute spider, you will need:
- a foam disc
- black paint and a brush
- black chenille stems
- fun pom-pom eyes
- a wooden log (Ø 8 to 11 cm)
- square rhinestone stickers
- a small fabric bow
- a glue gun
- a pair of scissors
- a wooden skewer
Step 1
Paint the polystyrene disc with black acrylic paint and let it dry for about 45 minutes.
Tip: Insert the disc onto a wooden skewer to paint it without getting your fingers dirty!
Step 2
While waiting for the paint to dry, decorate the edge of the wooden log with square rhinestone stickers.
Step 3
Cut 8 pieces of pipe cleaner about 8 to 10 cm long.
Insert 4 pieces on each side of the polystyrene disc (on the edge) and then shape the spider's legs.
Step 4
Glue a pair of funny pom-pom eyes onto the disk using a hot glue gun.
Draw a nice smile with a white paint marker.
Step 5
Glue the spider to the center of the wooden log using the hot glue gun.
Step 6
Glue a small colored bow to give your little spider a cute look.
