With wooden shapes, easy-to-use paint sticks, and mirror effect paper, children will create Halloween pumpkins with a cheeky look. This is a quick creative activity to make a monstrously successful decoration!
Each child selects their pumpkin and then glues on a mirror sheet that will make the eyes and smile shine with a metallic glow. All that's left to do is add some eye stickers, a few playful bats, and set it on its base for a wow effect!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create a spooky pumpkin, you will need:
- a wooden pumpkin
- a wooden base with a slot
- colored cardstock with a mirror effect
- monster eye stickers
- bat stickers
- adhesive rhinestone strips
- solid gouache sticks
- a pencil
- a pair of scissors
- a glue stick
Step 1
Choose a pumpkin and then decorate it using an orange solid gouache stick.
Leave some areas undecorated so you can complete them with another color and add contrast.
Step 2
Finish decorating the pumpkin by coloring it with a yellow poster paint stick to add beautiful color effects.
Color the stem with the green poster paint stick.
Step 3
Place the pumpkin on a colorful heavy cardstock with a mirror effect, then trace the outline with a pencil.
Step 4
Cut with a margin of about 5 mm inside the outline and then glue the colored card behind the pumpkin.
Step 5
Stick 2 monster eyes and some small bats onto the pumpkin.
Step 6
Decorate the edge of the base with a strip of adhesive rhinestones.
Step 7
Place the pumpkin in the slot of the wooden base.
