To create this lovely Halloween wall art, children will make a large 3D bat using a half polystyrene ball and a pretty colorful background using solid poster paint sticks.
A creative activity that is both easy and fun, suitable for children from a young age.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity:
- a thick white card (A4 - 300 g/m²)
- a thick black card (A4 - 300 g/m²)
- a half foam ball (Ø 9.5 cm)
- black acrylic paint and a brush
- a white paint marker
- solid gouache sticks
- 2 movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- bat stickers
- alphabet stickers
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Paint the polystyrene half-sphere with black acrylic paint and let it dry for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Cut out the 2 wings and the 2 ears of the bat from a strong black cardstock.

Step 3
Create the background of the board (A4 heavyweight white paper) using solid gouache sticks (yellow, orange, red).
If you are not yet familiar with solid gouache sticks, you will love them! They allow you to achieve a very opaque painting effect without getting your fingers dirty and with almost instant drying. An ideal product for young children.
Step 4
Glue the wings, the half-sphere, and the ears to the center of the board.
Step 5
Stick 2 movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm and then draw a smile with a white paint marker.
Step 6
Write the word "Halloween" at the bottom of the board using stickers.
Step 7
Decorate the top of the board by sticking on bat stickers.
