White Owl with a Pine Cone
In this winter craft activity, we will create a lovely white owl using a pine cone, felt, and stuffing!
A natural and easy creative craft to keep children occupied this winter.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make an owl, you will need:
- A 10 cm pine cone
- A round wooden base Ø 8.5 cm
- Wooden washers
- Two driftwood branches
- Yellow, black, and white felt.
- A mini pine cone
- Some batting
- Two movable eyes Ø 1.8 cm
- 3D snow effect relief paste
- A paintbrush
- A black permanent marker
- A glue gun
- A pair of scissors
Step 1 :
Using a glue gun, attach wooden washers to the round support while leaving an empty space to be able to glue the large pinecone later.
Step 2:
Glue some driftwood branches and a mini pine cone.
Step 3:
Insert pieces of white cotton into the hollows of a pine cone to create the body of the owl.
Tip: use the brush to push in the cotton.
Step 4:
Glue the pine cone to the base with the hot glue gun.
Step 5:
Cut:
- Two circles of Ø 2.5 cm in yellow felt.
- Two wings of 6.5 cm and one pompom of 4 cm in white felt.
- One beak of 2 cm in black felt.
Step 6:
With a black marker, draw lines on the wings and the crest.
Step 7:
Glue the wings and the felt pompom onto the pine cone with the glue gun.
Step 8:
Then paste the two yellow circles and the spout.
Étape 9 :
Glue 2 mobile eyes Ø 1.8 cm onto the yellow felt.
Step 10:
Finally, apply snow effect paste with a brush on the wood slices, driftwood branches, and the small pine cone.
Let dry for 2-3 hours.
