With this magical activity, children will transform a simple translucent plastic cup into a charming Christmas lantern. How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity, you will need:
- a translucent plastic cup
- a wooden log (Ø 8 to 11 cm)
- a wooden bead (Ø 2.5 cm)
- an LED lamp (or LED candle)
- 3 AAA batteries
- tree-shaped stickers
- gingerbread letter stickers
- star stickers
- a tube of strong white glue (or a glue gun)
Step 1
Turn the cup upside down and decorate the bottom with a row of tree stickers.
Step 2
Write the word NOËL in the center of the cup using the gingerbread letter stickers.
Step 3
Complete the decoration of the cup with golden or silver star stickers.
Step 4
Glue a natural wooden bead onto the cup using strong white glue or a hot glue gun for instant adhesion.
Step 5
Unscrew the plate under the LED lamp using a small Phillips screwdriver and then insert 3 AAA batteries (sold separately).
Then place the LED lamp at the center of the wooden log.
Step 6
Turn on the LED lamp and then place the cup over it.
Step 7
Turn off the lights to admire the result in the dark!
