This spring craft allows children to create a pretty colored butterfly. To extend the activity, children can decorate their butterfly using stickers on thespring theme to keep a nice souvenir to offer or display.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To create clean painting, you need:
- a butterfly template print here
- gouache
- a thick white sheet of paper (A4 format)
- spring stickers
- letter stickers
- a plastic folder
- a glue roller
- a pair of scissors
- a pencil
- adhesive tape
Step 1:
To get started, print our butterfly model by clicking here
Cut out the butterfly with a pair of scissors.
Step 2:
Trace the outline of the shape using a pencil on the thick white paper.
Step 3:
Then cut out the inside of the sheet of white paper following the pencil outline.
Step 4:
Place spring-colored paint inside a plastic pouch.
Step 5:
Seal the plastic pouch along the entire length with adhesive tape to prevent paint from leaking.
Step 6:
Stick the sheet over the plastic pocket filled with poster paint using the glue roller.
Tip: Use the glue roller to secure the edges of the plastic pocket that extend beyond the sheet.
Step 7:
Now let your child explore painting and express their creativity by mixing colors with their fingers, hands, or even their feet!
Step 8:
Finally, decorate the creation by sticking Spring stickers and letter stickers to add the child's name or a phrase of your choice.
