Halloween String Art
Here is a beautiful handicraft activity on the theme of Halloween to do with children from the age of 8.
Are you familiar with string art? It involves stretching thread between nails fixed on a wooden board to create beautiful designs. Here we have prepared a lovely sun model with the indicated spots to hammer in the nails.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make string art, you will need:
- a printable Halloween template
- a wooden base (20 x 20 cm) and nails
- a hammer / mallet
- colored embroidery floss
- bat stickers
- adhesive rhinestone strips
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
To get started, print a Halloween template here.
Place the template on the wooden base and secure it with a few pieces of tape.
Note: make sure that the wall attachment located behind the wooden base is oriented correctly!
Step 2:
WARNING this step may require adult assistance.
Drive the nails using a mallet/hammer following the template.
Note: the wood of our string art supports is very soft, allowing children to easily drive in the nails without needing to hit too hard with the mallet/hammer.
Step 3:
WARNING this step may require the assistance of an adult.
A total of 60 nails will be driven in corresponding to the 60 circles of the model!
Step 4:
Next, remove the paper template from the backing to reveal the inserted nails.
Step 5:
Using an orange thread, make a double knot around the first nail located on the edge of the pumpkin.
Step 6:
Then "weave" the thread, taking care to keep it tight between the nails.
Once the area is well covered, make a knot around a nail to finish.
For this model, it is better not to weave inside the eyes and mouth.
Step 7:
Repeat these steps for the eyes, mouth, and tail of the pumpkin, varying the colors.
Once finished, you should achieve a result similar to this!
Step 8:
Then stick bat stickers around the template.
Step 9:
And finally, stick strips of rhinestones around the entire edge of the wooden base.
