How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a surprise pumpkin, you need:
- an orange tissue paper sheet (50 x 66 cm)
- a green tissue paper sheet (50 x 66 cm)
- stuffing cotton
- elastics
- 2.5 cm googly eyes
- a black cardstock
- a pair of scissors
- a glue stick
- adhesive dots
- candies
Step 1
Fold a sheet of orange tissue paper in half and place a handful of candies in the center.
Step 2
Place a handful of batting on top of the candies.
This will help achieve a nice round and sized pumpkin.
Step 3
Fold the 4 corners of the tissue paper to create a pouch.
Step 4
Place one or two elastics around the pumpkin's stem to maintain its shape.
Step 5
Cut a strip of green tissue paper approximately 6 x 30 cm.
Step 6
Apply glue to the end of the green tissue paper strip.
Step 7
Glue the green tissue paper strip onto the tail of the pumpkin, then wrap it around.
Finish with a dot of glue.
Step 8
Twist and pinch the pumpkin's stem for a nice finish.
Step 9
Cut out a mouth and a nose from a sturdy black cardstock.
Stick the mouth, nose, and two wiggle eyes onto the pumpkin using adhesive dots to finish it off.
To discover the candies, the children will have to carve open the pumpkin on Halloween night!
