How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create a beautiful snow globe, you will need:
- a transparent plastic globe to place (Ø 14 cm)
- a wooden log (Ø 8 to 11 cm)
- 2 wooden trees to decorate (9 cm)
- paintbrushes
- round rhinestone stickers
- a polystyrene disc (Ø 8 cm)
- white cellulose balls
- a reindeer / snowman pom-pom
- a glue gun
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Decorate the 2 wooden Christmas trees with poster paint.
Tip: Solid poster paint is very opaque, easy to use, and dries almost instantly!
Step 2
Decorate the 2 trees with round rhinestone stickers.
Step 3
Plant the two fir trees in the polystyrene tray.
Tip: Make small cuts with the blade of a pair of scissors to make it easier to insert the trees into the polystyrene.
Step 4
Apply a glue joint behind each tree (at the wood / polystyrene junction) to reinforce the whole structure.
Step 5
Glue a small snowman and/or a reindeer in front of the pine trees.
Step 6
Glue the polystyrene base into the part of the plastic ball with a flat base.
Step 7
Fill the globe with about 30 to 40 white cellulose balls to create a snowy effect.
Step 8
Close the lid and then glue the ball onto a wooden log using the glue gun to create a nice base.
Step 9
Children can even enjoy shaking the ball like a real snow globe!
