How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a festive bear, you will need:
- a square wooden base (18 x 18 cm)
- a wooden log (Ø 8 to 11 cm)
- a patterned sheet of paper
- a sheet of kraft paper
- 2 googly eyes (Ø 2.5 cm)
- 2 colored pom poms
- a bow tie sticker
- triangle stickers
- a strong card base
- a black marker
- a pair of scissors
- a roll of double-sided adhesive foam
Step 1
Stick a piece of adhesive foam behind the log and then attach it to the center of the square wooden base.
Step 2
Cut out the body of the bear (about 10-12 cm wide) and 2 ears from a sheet of kraft paper.
Step 3
Place adhesive foam pieces behind the kraft paper shapes and then slide them under the wooden log to shape the bear.
Step 4
Cut a pointed hat from a patterned cardstock and glue it to the top of the wooden log using the adhesive foam.
Step 5
Using the adhesive foam, stick 2 pom-poms (one for the nose, another on top of the hat) as well as 2 wiggle eyes.
Draw the bear's mouth with a black marker.
Step 6
Glue a nice bow tie sticker under the log.
Step 7
Decorate the sides of the board using triangle stickers to create a garland effect of pennants.
Step 8
Useful: To display the children's artworks, you can use our cardboard supports to stick on the back of the creations!
