Here's a delightful artistic and sensory activity perfect for little ones! Using just a simple sheet of aluminum, some markers, and a bit of water, children will create a unique pumpkin with beautiful watercolor effects. Just color the metallic sheet, lightly spray it with water, then place the pumpkin template on it to transfer the colors and achieve a magical effect. Once dry, the pumpkin is cut out and glued onto a black sheet before being framed to decorate the walls of the house.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create this Halloween craft, you will need:
- a pumpkin template to print (click here)
- markers
- a sheet of metal to etch
- a strong black card (A4, 300 g/m²)
- a frame made of thick card with a trompe l'œil effect
- abstract art stickers
- a pair of scissors
- a glue stick
- a spray bottle
- a black marker
Step 1
Color the metal sheet using broad-tipped markers, alternating the colors randomly.
Note: you can also use aluminum foil instead of the metal sheet !
Step 2
Spray water on the metal sheet.
The water will create the desired watercolor effect during the color transfer.
Step 3
Place the pumpkin template (pattern side down) on the metal sheet to transfer the colors.
Step 4
Remove the template from the metal sheet and allow the paper to dry for about 30 minutes.
Tip: you can use a hairdryer to speed up the drying process!
Wipe the surface of the metal sheet with a paper towel so that it can be reused for another watercolor transfer.
Step 5
Cut out the pumpkin and then glue it to the center of a black cardstock (A4 size).
Step 6
Attach a faux effect frame to the black sturdy card.
Step 7
Draw the eyes, nose, and mouth of the pumpkin with a black marker.
Step 8
Decorate the background of the board with pretty shiny stickers.
