Transform a sheet of embossed metal into real ornaments for your Christmas tree! With our 4 ready-to-use models (tree, bauble, stocking, and house), children can easily learn the technique of engraving and relief.
It's almost magical: just place the metal sheet under the template, trace over the lines with the modeling tool, and the designs appear in three dimensions. A quick cut with scissors to outline, a pretty colored string, and voilà—a decoration that beautifully captures the light from the garlands!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To create a beautiful Christmas ornament, you will need:
- a sheet of metal to emboss (gold or silver)
- a sheet of foam rubber
- modeling tools
- a hole punch
- baker's twine
- masking tape
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
Print one of our templates by clicking here.
Then cut out your chosen drawing, leaving a few centimeters of white margin around it.
Step 2:
Attach the four corners of the drawing to the sheet of repoussé metal using masking tape.
This will ensure a good hold of the drawing throughout the activity.
Step 3:
Place a foam sheet underneath the metal sheet and trace the outline of the design using a modeling tool (use tips with slightly rounded points).
Step 4:
Once the outlines are drawn, remove the template and cut out the shape from the embossing metal sheet.
Make a small hole at the top of the shape using a hole punch.
Step 5:
Thread a string through the hole and then tie a knot so you can hang your beautiful Christmas decoration on the tree!
