Materials:
To make a pipe cleaner Christmas tree, you will need:
– Green pipe cleaners
– A foam cone
– Golden round beads
– A large fabric bow
– White glue
– A pair of scissors
– A precision tool
Step 1:
Start by cutting about 85 pieces of chenille, each 7 cm long.
Tip: To cut more quickly, fold the chenille wire in on itself twice, then cut. This will give you four chenille pieces at once.
Step 2:
Insert the pipe cleaners into the polystyrene cone, one at a time, starting from the bottom.
Tip: Fold a pipe cleaner in half, then create a bend at the top so it can be pushed into the polystyrene cone. Once the wire is inserted, slightly bend the ends upwards to create the "branch" effect.
Step 3:
Glue a fabric knot to the top of the cone.
Step 4:
To finish, glue golden beads to the tips of the branches using tweezers to help with handling.
