In this easy Christmas activity, we will make a little Christmas reindeer with children aged 3 and up!
Using half polystyrene balls, brown paint, brown pipe cleaners, and googly eyes, children can create an adorable reindeer. To make it even funnier, just add small accessories like a scarf, a hat, or a glittery pom-pom.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a reindeer, you will need:
- two half-spheres made of polystyrene (Ø 5.5 cm)
- a small scarf
- a small hat
- a glittery pom-pom
- three brown pipe cleaners
- two googly eyes (Ø 1.8 cm)
- brown paint and a paintbrush
- adhesive dots
- a black marker
- a pair of scissors
- a wooden skewer
Step 1:
Paint the two polystyrene half-balls with brown acrylic paint.
Tip: Stick the polystyrene shapes onto wooden skewers to make painting and drying easier!
Step 2:
Cut the wooden stick to obtain a piece of 4 cm, then use it to assemble the two half-balls to form the body of the reindeer.
Step 3:
Wrap a small scarf around the two half-balls.
Step 4:
Decorate the polystyrene ball by attaching two googly eyes and a red pompom to create the little nose of the reindeer.
Step 5:
Next, draw the reindeer's mouth with a black marker.
Step 6:
Wrap two brown pipe cleaners around a marker to create the antlers of the reindeer.
Step 7:
Plant the caterpillars in the polystyrene on either side of the reindeer's eyes.
Step 8:
Next, cut a small piece of pipe cleaner, form a small curve, and stick it into the polystyrene (this will allow you to easily fit the hat on).
Step 9:
Finally, slip the small hat over the little rounded shape created with a piece of chenille.
